Because of your generosity, I have been able to experience the transformative power of cultural immersion during my time abroad. One of the most memorable moments was visiting the elephant sanctuary where we got to feed, bathe, and play with the most beautiful creatures on such an interactive level. Despite my initial nervousness, the warmth and encouragement of the locals and Thai buddies eased my worries within a day. This encounter marked the beginning of countless conversations, bridging the language barrier and fostering genuine connections.
Another highlight of my journey was the autonomic feeling we were given by USAC. All of the staff members encouraged us to explore different parts of Thailand and fully submerse ourself in the beautiful country. I often found myself standing in awe of the majestic landscape, I felt a profound sense of connection to the land and its people. This experience reminded me of the beauty that exists beyond textbooks and online resources.
My trip abroad has also been one of self-discovery. Embracing unfamiliar surroundings and stepping out of my comfort zone has revealed strengths I didn’t know I possessed. I’ve learned to navigate challenges with resilience and openness, gaining a newfound sense of confidence.
Your generosity has been instrumental in shaping this unforgettable chapter of my life, and I’m deeply grateful for the opportunity to learn, grow, and connect on this remarkable adventure.

Because of your generosity, I have been able to experience studying in South Korea at Yonsei University. My 6 weeks abroad were life changing for me as a learned new things, learned to be independent, made new friends, expanding my knowledge to new culture, learning culture differences and so much more. I have made some memorable memories with amazing people I meet abroad I never knew I was going to create strong friendships at Yonsei University. Also learned a new language Korean, which is my third language, my Korean beginning class was actually one of the best classes I have ever taken in my life. My professor was amazing and the content was so fun to learn! I will have to continue learning more Korean. If it wasn’t for your generosity I wouldn’t have been able to grow as an individual. I have never found a place to call my second home but thanks to you, Seoul, South Korea has taken the title of my second home.
