Lin Yuejun Lang Memorial Scholarship

Graduating seniors attending Advanced Technologies Academy (A-TECH)Valley High School, or Las Vegas Academy of the Arts (LVA) in Clark County, Nevada may apply for this scholarship. Students must plan to attend an accredited college or university and preference may be given to students who plan to study languages and/or cultures in college. Three scholarships (one A-TECH senior, one Valley High School senior, one LVA senior) in the amount of $800 each will be offered.

Verification of college enrollment (class schedule) will be required during the summer before award is sent. Scholarship funds must be applied toward tuition, fees, and other appropriate educational expenses. These funds will be disbursed in equal payments over two semesters.

The 2024-25 scholarship application opens on October 1, 2024 and closes on January 31, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time. 

If selected, recipients will be asked to provide a headshot photo, short bio and 30-60 second introduction video to help support the scholarship. 


Application Components

  • Essay – 350 words – Please write an essay answering the prompt, “How does your story relate to Our Story?” We seek creative answers. Please incorporate specific details from your unique cultural, language, and academic background, connecting these to your aspirations.

  • Transcript – Please upload your most current transcript (unofficial).
  • Financial Need Letter – Please see the PEF’s application platform for more details.
  • Letter of recommendation – Please submit the email address to a reference who can attest to your academic aptitude.
